2) We did our first official Post-it Note Quiz...which I can explain to you in detail if you happened to miss! This is not an official graded quiz...only practice to perfect your conjugations :) Today we did these two verbs:

Hola chicos...como estan ustedes? estoy bien hoy! Anoche fui al gimnasio a las 9 de la noche para hacer mis ejercicios. Aunque mi familia dormia...necesitaba ejercitar! Ay...la vida :)


Here's what we did today...(lo que hicimos hoy en clase)

1) Preterite Review (regular verbs, stem changers) - EN LOS APUNTES
2) Opened the Textbooks to sections 9.1-9.2 and talked about "Verbs that Change meaning in the past" - EN LOS APUNTES
3) We also learned and wrote down Irregular Verb Conjugations for 15 verbs...EN LOS APUNTES
4) We wrote down sentences for each verb - EN LOS APUNTES
5) I assigned this Worksheet p. 99 y p. 101 - DUE JUEVES

Hola chicos! Como estan? estoy mejor y lo siento que no estuve aqui el viernes. Me siento mejor y estoy contenta hoy!

2) We also logged onto out Supersite (www.vhlcentral.com) and enrolled into our new course for this trimester - YOU MUST DO THIS ASAP. Please come ask me to help you complete this task!

Hola chicos! Como estan? Estoy muy bien :) Mi hijo, Cohen, tiene una entrevista para una escuela nueva. En agosto, va a asistir la primaria!

1) Bell Ringer
2) Verb Conjugations in the Present and Preterite Tenses for the verbs in our Chapter 9 vocabulary. These conjugations were written in your notes, so please refer to the Supersite to open the Vtext and find the Preterite Tense Conjugations!
3) We also spent 10 minutes in class with speaking practice and reviewed the "Life Questions" that we did yesterday...when we interviewed each other and wrote down answers.

Hola chicos! Como estan? Hoy estoy muy cansada! Hoy es el cumpleanos de mi esposo :) Tengo planes con la familia. Le compro unos zapatos nuevos para correr :)

2) Today we filled out our Chapter 9 vocabulary lists. If you need a list to review or print, go to the Supersite and under "Contents" click on "My Vocabulary".
3) We also completed these 2 homework activities in class: p. 302 Activity #6 and p. 303 Activity #8.

If you were absent, I need to see that your vocabulary list is filled out, or printed from the Supersite, and you need to turn in p. 303 Activity #8 by answering the questions about yourself!

Hola chicos! Como estan? Estoy muy enferma hoy, lo siento mucho! No me gusta estar enferma y no me gusta no estar en clase con ustedes!

1) There are two homework assignments to work on in class for a grade. If you missed, you should refer to the Supersite and go to the Vtext which you can click on under "Contents".
2) FIRST ASSIGNMENT - Go to the activity we did on Wednesday when we practiced interviewing each other in Spanish. THe assignment is for you to write down in Spanish, your answers to these debatable questions. Do your best :)
3) SECOND ASSIGNMENT - Write down on the same paper a short story of your last birthday, a party you recently attended, or a wedding. Use the preterite and your new Ch. 9 vocabulary. Do you best, and write what you can!
4) There will be a vocabulary quiz next week, so don't forget to memorize your vocabulary list!

Your homework is to have your parent/guardian AND you read over and discuss the syllabus and RETURN the back part of that needs to be SIGNED by YOU and a PARENT/GUARDIAN. This is 5 points, and it is due on Friday, Feb. 19th!
